i think dogs are better but i have grown up around cats ..

depends on your personal needs or wants.
If you want an animal as a pet that is always affectionate, loyal to you, and willing to do tricks on command .. dog is your answer
If you want something that is more independant, smaller, doesnt need to go outside every few hours, get a cat

Neither one is better i woukd think, just like people no one is better then the other! It's just what you perfer in a pet i would think! I like both cats and dogs. but i like dogs inside and cats outside! cats are cleaner and less mess then a new puppy that you got to train! Cats are eaiser to litter train but i don't like cleaning a litter box and the smell so i trained my cats to go outside to potty!! So i can have both pets! Dogs Mind you better , cats come to you when THEY WANT TO not ever time you want them too!! I will just say They Are JUST A Different kind of Animal thats all! You have to decide which one is right for you !!

both cats and dogs both have there good and bads cats like to be inside they use a litter box they are quiet and keep to themselves there easy to make happy and dont take up alot of room dogs are good size and loveable they like to play you have to take them out all hr of the day and night and hope when u r gone they dont potty or tear up the house they bark aalot
but both animals are wonderful just get 1 puppy and 1 kitten and raise them together and love them both

Well, it depends on what you like. Dogs are great for walking, and fetching, but cats are more independent. I prefer cats to dogs.

Well i love both, but my husband HATES cats, so we have a dog! I'm ok with that, as long as i get to have an animal!!

dogs can be a lot more caring and loyal. if you get the wrong cat than it can scratch and bight.
