I would cure mixed connective tissue disease because I have found that rare disorders get ignored. If i could cure this, I would be at peace and pain free. Then I could help others to the fullest.

i really dont know, because whatever desease i chose it would have dire concequenes. i would most likely chose diabetes, because both of my grandfathers died from it and i never knew them. also because my uncle is diabetic, my father and mother are on the verge of diabetes, and my sister is a diabetic. but if i did choose diabetes, all of the companys that prodice insulin, syringes, pumps, ect... and all the peolple currently working on a cure would instantly be out of jobs, the economy would take a major blow, and their would be many more homeless people on the side of the road, more famalies would be ripped apart, and many more people would be on the verge of starvation. or if i chose cancer, because it took the life of my grandmother, then the people working on a cure, trhe people who specialize in kemo, would be jobless, and the cycle would start again.

Leukemia b/c I have a friend dying from it and she's only 15. A lot of people are dying of it young and it's a damn rapid disease.

Cancer is curable btw, if you believe in doing reserach, understanding the human body and organs; microorganisms, parasites and flukes; and alternative/herbal ways of healing. Seriously. It's hard, but it's possible, and it's happened, but I guess it depends how determiend someone is to live. B/c obviously, goin to the dr and having them do all they can is pretty easy.....but does nothing beneficial in the long run, does it?

Inflammation.

Most evey "disease" we think of from diabetes to cardiovascular disease (#1 killer in USA) is caused from uncontrolled inflammation that ultimately leads to damage of organ tissue. You figure out how to fix inflammation, and most of all the problems we deal with will improve significantly.

Oh wait - they already no how to fix this problem. But then again they are all quacks, don't listen to those people who medicine is trying to imitate with medications.

Gullibility and paranoia. It kills more cancer patients each year (it would seem) who would normally be able to be treated if they hadn't wasted their time with alternative medicine.

A cure for all cancers would be amazing. I would have to pick that one because it is such a complex set of diseases. If we could cure all cancers we would, in addition, know SO much more about human biology because curing cancer would require an amazing knowledge of cellular processes and how to control them.

It would be mental illnesses which are manifest from many different sources and I don't think they are diseases per say; mental illness is more a dis-ease. Why? Because this world would be a better place to live without that.

Down's Syndrome. I would like to see an early detection, prevention, and reversal system. Although people with Down's can still function in society with it, I don't feel that they should be punished because of their DNA.

Alzheimer - It is not only hard on the patient but equally hard on all loved ones and you have no control over it in any way. Plus it's a slow agonizing death.
