Yes, that's right.

Those animals can only walk forwards and that symbolizes that Australia will always go forward.

Wales isn't on there because it was a part of the Kingdom of England at the time that Great Britain was formed, that's the only reason. In my opinion, the arms ought to use the second English quarter to include a gold dragon on a red field. St Stephen's Crown should stay since it's the one used to crown monarchs, and the lion up top represents Britain in it's entirety, not just England. It's also worth noting that as a heraldic creature, unicorns cannot be crowned as they are symbols of innocence and purity. The Scottish unicorn is instead gorged with a diadem as a symbol of equality. The daffodil should be added to the mound for equality. The Order of the Garter is on there because honour takes precedence, and the Order of the Garter is the most prestigious, honourable order in existence, with the Order of the Thistle coming in second. Dieu Et Mon Droit was adopted when the Kingdom of Great Britain was formed - so you have the Scots to blame for that, not us.

Regardless of whom thinks they look 'silly', the emu and kangaroo are on the Australian coat of arms as they represent two large fauna that are absolutely unique to the country/continent.

Most countries have flora/fauna on their coat of arms....nothing strange about that....just tradition.

Some countries have animals that have nothing to do with them...eg England and their lions.

I doubt it. They were the only decent sized things around. Personally I think they look silly. Not my idea of nobility. Kangaroos and emus are two of natures really stupid creatures.
