I don't seriously think this. This is just the kind of question my bored brain pops out at 2:30 in the morning when I can't sleep. which gives me a headache. Maybe I should take an aspirin...

Well your body will become accustomed to the aspirin's effect of thinning the blood and thus reducing blood pressure, as well as preventing the synthesis of inflammatory substances and thereby reducing your body's perception of pain, so just like coffee (the opposite) if you stop taking it you will have a 'psedu' headache until your body adjusts.

So yes, it can cause headaches.

It's not backward in time or anything just plain physiology... :)

I don't eat aspirin but I still get headaches.

There might be something else, in the future, I do take to make the headache, however.

Like running 5 miles which usually helps ameliorate that pain.

Or maybe the one aspirin I have yet to take in 2030 is causing all this stress. ****** future is killing me!! Why will I take that drug?! I'm such an idiot... or I will be such an idiot. I can't decide. Either way I have a headache now, and should probably take an aspirin just in case it is true.

Well, I constantly am getting migraines. So I totally know where you're coming from. First try going to the restroom. Seriously, sometimes you may not feel like you need to go but you figure out that you did and your head feels much better. Often though, that's not the case. Try drinking some water. When your body loses 1% of water, you get a headache. So it's always important to stay hydrated. Then try lying down in a quiet room with little lighting. If the migrane's still throbbing, try taking an asprin. I take Excedrin. It's the only thing strong enough for me. But people react differently to different medication. After you take it, just go and lie down and try to shut your eyes. Good luck with your headache!

Interesting premise, however not everyone takes aspirin for headaches. Aspirin and other pain relievers do have an effect on brain chemistry and effectively block the pain receptors. Some athletes choose not to take pain medications for this reason, that it is possible to do further injury with the pain receptors blocked.

What came first? The headache, or the aspirin?

Some people are allergic to aspirin. Try ibuprofin or acetaminofen.
