The fact that you're "nervous as hell" indicates to me that you are taking fatherhood seriously. If that's the case, you'll be fine. Believe me when I tell you how critically important fathers are to their children.
If it's a boy, he'll learn how to treat women by seeing how you treat his mother.
If it's a girl, she'll learn what to expect from men by seeing how you treat her mother.
Now that I've laid all that heavy crap on you, I can also tell you that the rewards are worth more than gold.
Congrats and good luck.

Trust me this is a big step in life. There is no limit to how nervous you can get. The more nervous I believe the better because it shows how much you really looking forward to this new life. It will be hard and believe there is nothing like the real thing so if you think you are nervous now it is only the beginning. I remember my man was so nervous he didn't even want to hold my daughter but once he got her in her arms, it all came natural and his nerves suddenly disappeared. You will love this new tiny being that you won't even feel nervous. It'll be cool. Good Luck !

Good news! You're normal! You won't take any of us seriously though and that's normal too. Just remember to breathe and try to focus on all the good stuff that's headed your way. The first time you see your little one smile, you'll completely forget you were ever nervous in the first place. Good luck!!

normal nervousness is based on a percentage scale. A nervous as hell scenario indicates 85-100% nervousness with 100% being death. normal nervousness is anywhere from 45-85% nervocity. Undernervousness of course is anywhere below and if this is the case you have a serious problem and should speak with your doctor as soon as possible.

Every time, I have 4. Each one is different . My second was a breach, They gave me oxygen , I nearly passed out.
My 4th I video taped and made jokes. First is always the worst. Just don't let her go in alone and take note on where an empty chair is,
Good luck

Really nervous, sweaty nervous, trembling nervous, puking nervous - at various times all are okay. Keep your eye on the prize and you'll do fine.
