Carpal Tunnel Syndrome and if it is your job that requires you to type too much then you can claim the injury on workman's comp. If after surgery you do not have complete restoration of your hand motion then most of the time the insurance company will give you a settlement, depending on the severity. Do not accept their first offer because I had a 3% loss and ended up receiving $15,000.00. At first they offered me half that much and then the state guy (I did not have a lawyer and he told me I could get more if I did) said he would not accept the insurance providers offer. I also got them to leave my medical open in case I had to have another surgery. Be sure you check out all of your options if it is work related.

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. It's not really a sickness. It can be related to any repetitive motion, not just typing.

Like people said, Carpal Tunnel. You can also have a seizure by staring at the computer screen for too long.

You get typitis. Your hand goes numb, then your thumb falls off, next your pinkie. If you keep typing, your hands detact from your wrist and run away. It's sad. Cause then you have to go get hooks for hands, and you go to scratch your nose and poke out an eye. Then you have to wear an eye patch..so you might as well get a parrot for your shoulder and start saying things like ' AArghh matey...thar she blows!'
