Seriously what are some ways other then having sex and walking a lot to help me go into labor. I posted a question earlier and people thought I was in labor but wasn't when I went to the doctor today. I am 39 wks and sick of being pregnant. I am on an emotional high the whole time I've been pregnant and I'm ready for it to be over. Plese any suggestions would greatly help, cause I'll try them all. Thanks!

ok lets see, im in the same boat as you 39 weeks and dying for her to come out!
i'll just name everything i've been told but they may not all be true...
-caster oil cocktail....orange juice 30ml
vodka 30ml
caster oil as much as you can take
-pineapple
-orgasm
-walking
-squatting
-nipple stimulation...squeeze them until it hurts !
-the back part of your ankle (right above your heel that skinny bone)... massage it
-spicy food
-pray and ask God
-ask your doctor to move around your mucus plug at your next check up...if you still have it

ok thats all the freaky things i've been told
i've only tried some of them not all....TRY AT YOUR OWN RISK
good luck!

The baby will come out when ready. I know how you feel with my first baby I felt the same way. i did EVERYTHING that you can think of to try to induce labor...which actually looking back was pretty stupid. I know it's hard but in doing certain things you could harm the baby. It should be over soon I mean you're at 39 weeks. Can't go much longer then that. Best of luck. Hope it happens very soon for you!

Well I saw your question about not being able to sleep and that is totally normal. Towards the end of the pregnancy, you can get restless because things are coming to the end. You can always get your labor induced if you honestly can't take it anymore. Some pregnancies are easy at the end but some are hard. The baby is heavy, you have been pregnant for 9 months, nobody is blaming you.
If you don't want to get your labor induced you can always keep walking around and things like that. Sex can also induce labor towards the end.

The baby will come when its ready and you should understand that. you can not make it come any faster. If you do it could wind up sick or worse. The only person that can make that baby come any faster then what it is the doctor and he will not do it unless there is something wrong and it needs to come now. Just wait a bit longer you only have 2 more weeks I will bet that you will go in sooner then you think becuase for one you are stressing your self out more then you should be.

One of my friends drank caster oil, but I wouldn't recommend it because it gave her terrible diarrhea, and that wouldn't be to much fun while you were in labor. Believe me I don't think there is any legit way to bring on labor, I went over about a week with all three of mine and finally they had to induce labor. It will happen when it happens!....Good luck!

Nipple Stimulation. It's the only guaranteed solution because it makes your body produce oxytocin, which is the natural form of pitocin (which doctors use to induce labor).

Just make sure you do it slowly but surely, because it can make your contractions too strong if you don't.

Good luck and congrats!

You need to be very careful about castor oil - I wouldn't try it. Your baby could have a bowel movement before it is actually born. If the baby ingests/inhales any of it, then there could be serious complications.

Your baby will come when he/she is ready. Try to take your mind off of it and it will be over soon. Then you will be tired because of having the baby. :-)

I dont really know what to suggest.... you could try having a hot bath/shower and some hot (spicy) foods. I've heard that that can help.
Your baby will come soon enough. Good luck with the birth!!

If you really want the baby out you should ask your doctor to induce you ... that will start the birth process... I was 40 weeks and I went in for a prenatal checkup and he asked straight up when do you want your baby? So I said Friday he said OK! then he said to go to the hospital on Friday. they induced me and I had the baby that same day. when they induced me then my water broke, then my contractions got so horrible they asked me If I wanted meds, then I said epidural PLEASE. then I had the baby like an hour later.
