6th street can be insane, people everywhere loud music. It is cool because on 6th all of the bars next door to each other for about 4 or 5 blocks, so it easy to get out and walk to the next bar because it right next door. The best day to go is Thursday, at Aquarium and the Library there are dollar beers and wells there. Also Thursday is considered college night so there is always a lot of people out there. You are going to love it, and when you are done grab a slice of pizza from Roppolo's!

I have been a few times in the 15 years I have lived in Austin. Cannot say it was impressive enough for me to make a habit of it. It is just a big bar crawl. A few of the bars and clubs offer something different, but for the most part, it is where college kids go to blow mom and dad's money.

I went there about 5-6 yrs ago. I didnt really like it but it wasnt exactly my scene. I would rather go top country western bars and there were none there that I saw. Just a buch of techno clubs.
