I have a 2000 4Runner Limited 4WD V6, and it has 51000 miles on it. Is it time to get new plugs?

Mst vehicle manufacturers reccomend about 100,000 miles. Best to check your owners manual.

Depending on the plugs it could change. But normally any new plugs you would buy aftermarket are rated from 90,000 to 100,000 miles. Thats usually a good standard, but I would also check the wires, and in your case you don't need to because if I remember right your vehicle has the coils right on the plugs.

Check your manual - if the vehicle has platinum-tipped plugs standard, you can drive 75-100K miles before they should be replaced.

If you have regular (non-plat) plugs, then change them about 30K miles - or just before you have a smog check. Your car will thank you.

Good luck.
