He was drunk and said some really stupid things. We all say stupid things when we're drunk. He's apologized twice - let it go.
At least he had the courage to admit his mistakes, something many Hollywood celebrities wouldn't do.
Mel Gibson is a fine actor and superb film director. Leave him alone; let him deal with his addiction and let's all pray that we're never in a similar circumstance. -RKO-

He said what he said and he had a right to free speech that is what happens when publicists don't baby sit and protect our celebrities. There is no telling how many other celebs have similar idea if not worse. Kinda like when Tom Cruise was jumping on Oprahs couch and calling Matt Lauer out for not knowing the history of pshycology. Celebs are free to say what they want the marketplace has a right to settle itself people have a right to spend there money where they want for whatever reason they chose. I know I won't have nothing to do with Monster in Law because of Jane Fonda. Time will tell how offended people were when he tries to do something new. Everyone is worried about Mel Gibson did anyone notice Dr. Stephen Hawking made an important announcement today?

Hmm, well, we must all first realize that celebrities are just people. Most people have prejudices. Like me, I hate clowns..but I digress. Mel is a human making a living by acting, and of course directing and producing. He drinks, and guess what? Makes mistakes like drinking and driving ( a HUGE no no that could have ended very badly for aome innocent folks) Ever watch the show COPS? Drunks act out. Drunks also lose all judgement and don't know when to keep their mouths shut. If this happened to Joe Blow down the street, it wouldn't even make the local paper. Mel broke the law and needs to be prosecuted and, like most drinking/driving violations, be made to get help ( which he entered rehab) The things he said, he said, period. If anyone doesn't like what he said, and want to take a stand, never spend your money on any of his projects. Don't pay to rent or see any of the movies he was or will be involved in. Simple as that.

If he ranted words against the jews maybe it's because he might be tired of the many retards that took offense on The Passion for showing what appears on the bible. A lot of narrow-minds can't get past historical facts and they take things personally.

I think people put too much stock in what actors and actresses say and do. There are many people in this world who have done and said similar things he has done and said. If people think he should watch his behavior because he is a movie star, their naive. I would like it if actors and actresses stick to their job and entertain me and reporters started reporting real news. All this other crap I could care less about.

He is human just like everyone out there. And as a human he makes mistakes. He has said that he is sorry and apologized to the Jewish people. He is getting help for his problems and is taking responsibility for what he has done. God can forgive him so I think that the public should too.

Give him a break...celebrities have a right to be vocal and not be judged for it. And people do make mistakes. I think Mel is genuinely a nice guy..

I think we all get angry sometimes and say things we don't mean because we feel guilty about how stupid we are ourself's.It is overblown reporting and it has not changed my view about him.The press is run by overblown selfimportant Gids anyway.
