Roll ons are the most effective, however since they are a "liquid" form when applying, they may leave stains behind. Best bet--try a solid labeled "anti-perspirant and deoderant" as they are two totally different things. Dove Unscented as the best until it got discontinued, now I am on to Dove Cucumber Aloe. Mitchum, in fact is true to its tag line...so strong you can skip a day...to strong for me though.

I'm addicted to men's deodorant. Why am I paying for weaker deodorant? Why did I never consider just trying a guy's stuff?
Anyway, my favourite stuff is somewhere in between: it's Adidas Active Anti-Perspirant, "Team Force". It's perfectly clear - but it's a solid, not a gel. So it dries really quickly and even after a long hot day I still smell normal. The scent isn't strong once it's on you, either, so you don't have to worry about "smelling like a guy's deodorant" if that would bother you.
So far it's the only thing I've found that blocks odour really well.

I like Dove or Sure solid deodorant in Powder, gives me the best protection- The gels make me sweat too much! However, in the summer time when I go out with tank tops I hate that white deodorant mark under my arms so instead of deodorant I spray with baby cologne and a bit of perfume.... it may burn at first but it works wonderfully!

For me personally, powders are better than gels. I've tried the clear gels and they don't mask anything. But so far the best deodorant I have found is Ban roll-on.

If you want something that will completely block odor and stops the sweating, then try Certain Dri. It works great and you only have to apply it once at night and go w/o deodorant for for the day... It works great for me...

the antiperspirant blocks the odor the best. The deodorant just comers it up for a short time

I like Degree, which is an antiperspirant and deodorant in one. I'm not a fan of gel b/c it tends to still leave a white/crusty mark on clothing.

Mitchum is supposed to be the best but it's the gel. I like the powder better because I hate that wet feeling. Yuck!
