How old are you? And I say at least 16.

Be smart.
Don't start even THINKING about dating boys until they are men....sometime after 30 yrs old (them, you can be 25).
I'd say 15-17 with a group of friends; 18 single dates ok if the guy is within 2 yrs of your age.
When you're older, 10 yr diff is no big deal. For now, listen and respect your mom's wishes. She knows your maturity level better than you do, and she remembers the way she was at your age and you probably remind her of herself in many ways, so she's trying to hedge off some possible "mistakes" she made at your age. Trying to spare you some tears and grief.
Focus on school for now. Keep your priorities straight. Guys come later, and the later they come, the better the quality!

Have a job to buy your own outfits when you go out.
Have a job to pay for the night so you won't have to borrow from your parents.
Graduated from school. Education is more important than a boy.
Mature enough to know when to say no and mean it.
Have your own vehicle or can drive so you won't have to have your parents drive or catch the bus.
Whether we like to admit it or not sometimes are parents are just looking out for us.

Well it depends on what you mean, if you just want a boyfriend and not go out, then i'de say no younger than 12, but if you want to go on dates i'de say 16 because you can't drive anywhere until your that age, and if you did go out your parents would most likely be there, and that's not cool

It depends on when *you* think that you're mature enough and as long as you don't do anything stupid then why not 12? How old are you anyways? But if your still in Elementary school then remember boi's have cooties!! yuck! I'm just kidding! but forget the person who said 16!! thats wayyyyyy to long to wait!!!

i got a bf when im 18 but my parents said im young to have a bf....it depends on u.....if u fil in luv then go on the decission is urs....but i think the age can have a bf when u are in 18 is enough age to have a boyfriend...gud luck!
