I know everyone is different, but those of you who do have tattoo's any advice that you can give me? Also, how much does tattoo's cost and what can I expect at the tattoo parlor during my first visit of getting a tattoo?

well it depends on where u get it and obviously like u said on who...it varies per person....but tattoos are a bit expensive but worth it if its the right one and make sure u wont regret it later....

yes it hurts, the pain varies though. sometimes it's not so bad, other times it's incredibly painful (if they're going over the same area for ex) the cost depends on the size of the tattoo and if you want color or detail. smaller ones may be anywhere from 100 to 300 bucks. pick a good parlor and an artist who has done alot of tattoos, make sure they use clean stuff too.

I GOT MY FIRST TATTOO BACK IN 1982. AT FIRST IT FELT LIKE SOMEONE WAS RIPPING AT MY SKIN WITH A SMALL KNIFE. THE OUTLINE IS THE WORSE. AFTER A FEW MINUTES THE PAIN BECAME A BIT MORE BEARABLE AND I MANAGED TO SIT THROUGH THE HOUR AND A HALF TATTOO. WHEN IT WAS FINISHED, I NEVER REGRETTED IT. THE OUTLINE IS DEFINETLY THE MOST PAINFUL PART. I JUST GOT MY 18TH TATTOO TWO WEEKS AGO. THE PAIN IS A LITTLE MUCH AT FIRST, BUT AFTER AWHILE, IT'S NOT TOO BAD. DONT EVER DRINK ALCHOL BEFORE YOU GET A TATTOO, IT THINS THE BLOOD AND YOU SCAB MORE. THAT IS THE KEY TO A SUCCESSFUL TATTOO. IF THIS IS YOUR FIRST TATTOO, THINK BEFORE YOU DO IT. MAKE SURE YOU REALLY WANT ONE, BECAUSE ONCE ITS DONE...ITS DONE..GOOD LUCK AND MAKE SURE THE TATTOO PARLOR IS LICENSED AND CLEAN...THE COST OF A TATTOO HERE IN MARYLAND USUALLT RANGES FROM 50.00 AND UP. EAT BEFORE YOU SIT IN THE ARTISTS CHAIR AND RELAX. YOU WONT REGRET IT.

If you want to try out a small tattoo I recommend spending 20 bucks and getting it on the bottom of your big toe. I have done this just for fun, so trust me. It lasts for approx. 2 weeks because you lose more skin there than about anywhere else on your body and isn't very painful but a weird feeling. Then you will have more of an idea of what it feels like and you can have a trial time with the piece! good luck;)

Depends on where you live as to cost. My small tatoo was $50 but it just depends on the experience of the artist and where you live. I got a tatoo on my lower leg and it hurt like hell! It was very painful... but I do like my tatoo but darn it hurt. As to what to expect. It pretty basic. Go in pick what you want or bring what you want. Person may put something on your skin to prevent sweating. They will load the ink in the needle machine and proceed. You will bleed some.
Later the tatoo will kind of scab a bit and itch like crazy. Don't scratch it or pick the scabs or you will ruin it.
I only have one tattoo so I am not an expert that is just my experience.

Tattoos hurt, but more when it's on a bony part, and the fine lining hurts much more than the brush tool (for doing larger areas of colour rather than lines) Always expensive, I don't know what country you are in so I can't say for sure.

just a bit. Although all tattoos harm a small one would not harm for lengthy. Go in your neighborhood tattoo parlor and spot how small they may be able to make it and after care instructional materials. Best of success!

i was scared for years to get one but i got it about 3 years ago and it wasn't as bad as i thought it would be. now i have 2 of them. it didn't hurt too bad. if its on bone it hurts worse. just make sure you really want it.
