Just got back from Italy. Love it - it's my favorite European country - I keep going back. Beautiful countryside, wonderful cities, nice people, yummy food, and great wine. Designer clothes are usually cheaper, leather is MUCH cheaper, but everything else is spendy because the dollar/euro exchange is horrible right now.

hmm...i gave my gf the money to go so i couldnt... i dont think the clothes will be much cheaper if any as the dollar is simular to the euro. for us we spend pounds so our money is worth more abroad hence we get more. but if your only going for shopping head to the mall it was be cheaper due to air fares.
