The U.S. and Israel pride themselves on polices of double standards and exceptionalism. International law, human rights - it is only relevant when it is convenient to their objectives. The entire world (minus the U.S. and Britain, of course) is calling for a ceasefire. Diplomacy is the only way out. Israel is kidding itself if it thinks these actions are making it more secure - it is only growing the number of enemies and hatred towards it.

It is fair because the US and Madman Bush support this action and we, as common people, have no say in the machincations of our government. We tauted Democracy, Lebanon had a democratic election, we didnt like the results. So let Isreal have at em with our support.

Considering that Israel pulled out of southern Lebanon and has tried to talk with the Arab nations for the past 60 years and it has not worked, than they are allowed to use force. They also pulled out of Gaza and gave it back to the Palestinians and what do they do? They vote into power the terrorists who continually attack Israel. Israel is the only nation that can win a war but have the UN give back everything gained and more to the aggressors. My philosophy is that we allow Israel to do whatever it takes to destroy the cowards that attack civilians than hide behind their own civilians. Israel has been giving advanced warning prior to strikes to minimize civilian casualties. The terrorists than move to where there is greater chance of having civilian casualties.
