Does a career woman have to give up her career once she is married? Or does she have to marry and support her man to find someone worth it?

Simple the women who are cream of the crop have a hard time finding a man to match their status and except their life goals. A man should not make you be less ambitious than you truly are.

Great Question

Well, I'm a 29 career woman, striving for Diva status as I work at this great Woman's Magazine and run my own business...
Well, I'll be honest: I dont think a woman can "have it all". I'll tell you why: when I look at my married female friends, I see just how HARD marriage and having children truly is. When you get married, your life just doesnt belong to YOU anymore--you can no longer move to another city going after that great job at that great company, because it might not be OK with your husband. And when you have children---forget it. Its all about waking up at 6am, changing diapers, feedings, cooking lunch & dinner, cleaning up, laundry, etc. I mean, I thank God that I am Child-Free.

Well, I've decided to remain single until I make my first million :) OK, I'll be single at least until I am FIRMLY established and finacially stable, with my own house and fat nest egg. Why? Because, if for any reason my marriage does NOT work out, I will not be cryinng like Angela Basset in Waitng to Exhale, talking about "I gave you 11 years and put my business on hold, now I'm old and have nothing but these 2 kids to raise by myself!"..Girl, I was raised by a single mother--God bless her soul. I saw my mom busting her a ss to take care of me & my brother, working 3 jobs, and putting her career dreams in the toliet because she had to feed us. And my mom had been a married woman! Look, I want to Travel the world, make my OWN money and NEVER have to depend on any man. Just like Beyonce said:

"The shoes on my feet-I Bought it!
The rock I'm wearing-I Bought it!
Cause I depend on me!"

Girl, if you have BIG career goals like me--Stay Single. What would you rather have: your great career and your own money while your still young and hot? OR a man, babies juggling a family that MAY NOT last forever?

Theres this great song called Dont Give it Up and the singer says

"Girl, you know how these men are. Soon as you hit 35 they talkin bout 'i gotts get me somebody 18'..
so-you gotta keep what you got-
while youre HOT
and dont give nothin up to nobody
and no matter what they say
I'll tell you right away
I aint giving nothin up to nobody--no how!"
Peace

A woman doesn't have to do anything she doesn't want to do. You can keep a career and find a man who also has one. You should be able to support yourself because he's dying first!! Plus, divorce rates are so high, you'll need to support yourself if he leaves you or vice versa.

Never support a man unless he is truly disabled and you truly love him! Too many mothers out there with broken hearts because they have to leave their kids while they work all day! A true man will sacrifice his soul in hell to support the woman he loves!

What you do should be up to you. Your partner should know what you want and need and you should both agree on what you both want BEFORE you think about getting married. Good luck.
