Easy or hard depends on individuals and your standards of how good you want to do in school.

If you are the kind of person who just want to pass the course, or get an okay grade, then i suppose 9th grade could be a breeze, along with all the freedom you have.

If not, then it might be harder. I personally set very high standards for myself..meaning i wanted to get into at least the top three in my grade..if not, valedictorian. So in order to achieve that, i actually had to work really hard...That doesn't mean you can't have fun, you'll still have plenty of time for sports, or anything you like. Teachers are not as strict, it all depends on individuals, and you have to take responsiblities.

Enough said, remember, you are only going to be in 9th grade once(unless if you fail), make the best of it, in terms of study and enjoyment. So you won't have to regret anything, and will have a beautiful memory stored in you mind when you get to 40 or something.

Its not really harder than 8th grade....but the math classes will be...if you pay attention in class nothing is hard...it depends on how many test you get...and stuff and what class...like physical science...yes you will get alot of tests even in Algebra. The first quarter is easy...then you can go through the rest of the year kmowing what lies ahead. For the rest of high school you know basically alot and what does lie ahead...but all you have to carefully do is to plan your future...

Ah the 1st year of high school was the best, you have ssoooo many more freedoms and you make so many new friends. The school work on a whole was not that much harder, the 1st day was a little nerve-racking.I can remember being nervous and excited at the same time. Just relax on your first day and try and stick with people you know. You'll have a great time! Good Luck.

Most of that depends on your school and teachers. It's really not that bad though.. just a transition from a different system, but the work is about the same. The best thing to help you through it all is to get involved with school clubs. Try drama out drama or some club with a cause to help the community or society.

High school is much better than junior high, there are more freedoms than earlier years. Classes may be more difficult in nature than previous courses you have taken, but you will be prepared to handle it and won't notice much of a difference.
