I was either really brave or really stupid as a kid. My cousin and I used to have Roman candle wars using haybales as barriers.
No one got hurt, thank god, that was stupid now that I think about it as an adult. We also used to make a bow and arrows out of twigs and shoot them into the air and say "heads up". I am really lucky to have survived my childhood. Another one that is not as dangerous just stupid, we were hiking in the woods and found a big drainage pipe in front of which there was alot of mud. we preceeded to have an all out mud war. when we walked home, we were covered head to toe in mud. at least now I hope it was mud.

Cool! This kind of question makes me happy :)
I grew up on the edge of a forest with tons of other kids. We set up a little village in there. We built lots of little forts, nailed platforms in trees, stuff like that - and once we all got together and made a fort out of actual logs, using saws and hammers and all of that.
Sometimes we'd get split up into factions, for whatever reason, and then we'd have little wars. Pranks, sabotage, water balloons...
We'd pretend we lived in the woods and didn't have real houses. Paint ourselves up with mud and eat and camp out in there, acting all uncivilized - it was so much fun!
I wish we'd heard about cowboys and indians while we were still little, though - we never thought to add cowboys!

I wish we had a treehouse, but anyways I caught lighting bugs, built campires with my family, may have played cowboys(by myself-was an only child till age 5 and there was no kids in the neighborhood), now my sis and I make up stuff and play it, like we'll have different names and we'll have a setting and act it out with ourselves, it's a ton of fun.(I'm 16, but still enjoy), used to bring all stuffed animals down and play with them, like have them do stuff(when I was little), when my best friend came over we used to put skits on for our parents, ride bike(since I knew how), my best friend(when I was really little) would play house, he'd be the husband and I'd be the wife, animals were our kids,(may have played cowboys with him), would make houses out of cardboard boxes, play with matchbox cars(mom's old ones-fun to play with) and would build buildings out of blocks. I've had a lot of fun as I've grown up as you can see and hope my future kids have an even better childhood.

My dad got us a old milk truck. Basically like a small U-haul. That was our play house. We had tree split by lightening, it was like a huge teeter totter, only you didn't need anyone on the other end. We did catch lightening bugs. Played kick the can. Climbed the mulberry tree and ate until we were purple. We were never in the house. Went out the woods. Played in the creek.

I lived in a neighborhood full of boys and I had the only basketball and hoop. So we played make it take it all the time. I remember churning ice cream with them and trying to beat them to the beaters. Best Ice cream ever.

I have 2 brothers & 2 sisters. We tortured each other growing up. My brothers shot us with bb guns & I knocked my brother unconsious with a hammer. That was by age 4 so you can imagine our childhood.

Too bad kids these days have to worry about the pedophiles and the other freaks...they aren't able to play like we did as kids, no worries...

Be grateful you had the childhood you did!!!
