Not at all. Most Native Mexicans are "Indian" like those in the rest of the Americas. And Mexico is only known by that name and an individual country today. With so many humans in the world, even back then, it's not hard for more then one person or culture to have a similar idea. Many back then like today believed their version of a 'heaven' to be in the sky...so it's easy to think that more then one would want to build something that reaches close to it.

It is my understanding that the Mexican evolved from the couplings of the Spanish Conquistadors and the Indian women they encountered in their rampage across the Southwestern and Central American territories.

As for the pyramids you're mentioning they are, in fact, temples that were built by the ancient peoples in the Central and South American areas. Those inhabitants were the ancestors of a portion of our American Indians and the descendants of immigrant families from Jerusalem around the year 600 B.C.

Wasn't it the Aztec people that were first there? Then Columbus came over and made them slaves or something like that. I haven't even heard anyone say that the ancestors of the mexicans were egyptians.

No, the ancesters to the Mexicans are the Indians. Mayans and Aztecs to be exact. Puerto Ricans ancesters are the Mayans, Aztecs and Blacks. Since the Ancient Egyptians were Black before Arabs conquered them, then the Puerto Ricans would be the ones whose ancesters were Egyptians, and not the Mexicans.
