castro has already given his brother temporary power but when fidel passes on i am sure his brother will remain and the government will continue as always....one thing though it is stated that his brother although quiet and reserved is much more ruthless than fidel.

At the moment, Castro's brother, Raul, has power, but I heard on one of the news channels that if and when Castro dies, there will be a team of leaders, not just Raul. Hopefully, whoever takes over will be more friendly toward the US - and the two nations will be able to work together. (As for the person who said that Cuba will become the 52nd state, I didn't know there was a 51st.)

Once Raoul and Fidel are gone,perhaps the new leaders will be more friendly towards the US. The US is just itching to get back in there, to do business. Canada beat them to the punch on that one.
Maybe they will make it the great gaming place it used to be back in the days of Hemmingway. A lot of the old buildings have just deteriorated. So sad since they were so beautiful. Hopefully that can be revived again one day as a destination for fun and pleasure and through that better economy, maybe the Cuban people will have a better life.

I will pray that a leader suited to a communist nation will be able to help thrust Cuba from its past throws of failure, and become a mighty nation.
