I get that fear on and off. I can do a round off back hand spring on a mat in a gym or in front of a cheering crowd at a basket ball game but thats it.

I lost my standing once i got used to running and got a huge fear of it for 3 years and just did running ones. I just had to try out for my college team and when u are under pressure to have to do something like that on the spot it just comes to you.

Go to a gym and keep doing them with someone there, once they know u are good doing them they will prob move there hand away and then eventually move away completly...

take it in steps

you will get it back just whip it out like u know u can and don't hesitate to long before u throw it or it will never go.

I was sooo scared to do mine forever! But the thing that got me to finally do it, and the same worked with my standing tuck, keep having someone spot you but each time they spot you have them move a little farther away, or use only one hand instead of two, etc. to help you get used to the feeling of NOT being spotted. Also, when I was really close to getting it by myself I had someone that wasn't normally a spotter just basically stand there with their hand out, not helping at all. That made me realize that I could do it by myself. Just don't let anyone pressure you into throwing it if you feel you're not ready yet, I had a coach that did that to me for over 5 years and I was never comfortable tumbling. So do what you feel is right and stay confident, it's all a mind game. :0)

well first make sure that u or on a carpet or soft surface...no concrete or anything but thats pretty obvious, then just kno when u arch ur back to go onto ur hands keep ur shoulders strong and dont let ur elbows bend all the way or else u will fall on ur head i am a gymnast and have been doin it or 10 years. this is was my coaches used to tell me and this is wat they told me. they are mostly olympians so im pretty sure that their advice is good. GOOD LUCK!!

have someone who knows what they're doing spot you. also if possible learn on the trampoline before you try on a hard surface.
