Being drunk doesn't turn one into rascist .Those feelings came from somewhere. I think Mel Gibson has effectively destroyed his career ...and I feel badly about that...I always admired him (and thought he was cute) and sorta thought that he was above all this

In vino veritas - the alcohol simply loosened his inhibitions. Let's not forget the sexist remarks. Really now, an anti-Semitic chauvinist - what an outstanding specimen of the human condition.

He was drunk...now he's sober. Of course he's sorry. He's probably never felt so humiliated before in his life, not to mention the damage that has probably been done to his career. He's also apologized to the Jewish community.
I'd cut him some slack as I don't know what more he can do at this point.

To be honest it does not matter. He said it, and he is damned if he trys to fix it, or if he keeps quiet. really just silly what he did.

No he's not sincere about what happened......what he's truly sincere about is saving his career.
