Perhaps it's because you are the "star athlete." By that I mean that you're "big man(woman)" on campus and people may think that you wouldn't accept an invitation from them anyway because they aren't big at anything.
The idea of throwing a party and inviting a bunch of kids (if your parents will allow it) is a good idea. See if it works.

I was kind of the same way in school. There are one of two reasons, and probably both.
1) They don't think you're a "fun" person
2) They're pretty sure you're not going to drink or take drugs
That means, in their feeble little minds, that since you don't drink or take drugs, that you're not a "fun" person.
Sucks, but what I said is pretty much true. I wasn't popular in school either, mainly because I was too much of a "goody two shoes". A few people can pull off being popular and being nondrinkers, but not very many.

Because being a "star athlete" is not an automatic invite to the finer things in life, pal. Perhaps you need to look at your behavior and make some changes.......obviously others notice what you do not.......need I say more????

Being invited to parties isn't everything. But the party thrower probably isn't close enough to you. Ask a friend who is going to ask the host if you can come! :P
