you are not going to get any sort of decent antivirus prog for free...save up and buy the Computer Associates Etrust Internet Security Suite...its about $60 per year here in Australia but well worth the money...we charge $120 to remove viruses and spyware of customers pc's so what would you rather do?...pay $60 once every year or $120 every 3 months to remove the viruses??

Do a free scan at house call
http://housecall.trendmicro.com/
If you have dial up, then forget the top link and do this :
take out your hhd (hard drive) and put it into another computer.if you don't have one put it in someone Else's like a friends. now comes the fun part.
1st thing to do before putting it in the other computer in to change the jumpers over in the back of the hhd. to do this look at the back end of the hhd. you will see a slot where there are tiny pins parallel to each other and a sm. plastic cover on a pair of them.
now look at the top of your hhd and it should show you where to put the jumper to the slave position. now just plug it into the empty slot on the ribbon the hhd is on.
now that you have it hooked up, boot up with the computer, it will then recognize the second hhd, and install driver's for the computer to read it. now all you have to do is use the anti-virus from that computer to scan your hhd (the slave) that's it.
if it has a virus, the anti-virus will quarantine it for you, then you can put it back into your computer. now before you return it to your computer be sure to move the jumper back over to the master position. (the spot it was before you moved it)

hi, your computer must have some spyware in it. perhaps you can try norton or Macfee, or spyware doctore to remove the spyware, these three software all need a fee to use..
i also recommand you to use firefox with Google toolbar. firefox cannot remove the spyware, but it can disable this spyware to run, because the virus can only run on IE.
besides, firefox can block any any poppus and disable any virus and adware, spyware on webpage, so, firefox is much safer than IE. as you know, most of the virus is spread throught internet and webpage.
firefox is much smaller than IE, so i run faster than IE.
download firefox for free:

AVG is one of the best free anti-virus programs ?
Using it along with AdAware anti-spyware (free from: www.download.com) should keep any comuter free of all the 'bad stuff'.
