Guinea-pigs Octavius and Ophelia. One historical Roman featured in Shakespeare, other character featured in Shakespeare.
Cats Tadema Pharaohnicci and Anukis. Tadema is from a work of literature, the Pharaohnicci is my own imagination (to mean little Pharaoh) and Anukis is an Egyptian goddess.
I love both literature and Egypt, so this is where I get my pet names (however, the fish are called the collective Fish!)

I have two dogs, Private Quarters and General Bob( obviously we are a military family)
and three cats: Smokey, Bandit(sisters, my husbands favorite show, ) and Rolo- because his color looks like a rolo, he's black with a brown Carmel swirl on his back.
We have two iridescent sharks. They are almost 9 years old, but we never named them because we never thought they would ever make it past a couple of weeks. Until them we never had luck with fish, go figure. We don't name them and live on and on and on...

I have two male cats. Their names are Moses and Striker. Moses came from the Bible and a song that was popular when I got him, and Striker because he like to pounce on everything, including Moses. Pouncer didn't sound right so I went with Striker.
