you are correct I have seen mostly bush bashing as a fact of their political philosophy they dont bring anything to the table
40 years of failed liberalism means we can disqualify them from any further involvement in our affairs. they should be relegated to
the construction of compost toilets and picking vegetables

Could have something to do with the fact that Bush, Cheney, Rice and Rumsfeld all either worked for oil companies or were on the boards of oil companies. That Cheney had secret meetings with the heads of oil companies to develop national energy policy. That oil companies have had the highest profits ever under the present admistration. However, plenty of people have provided many more reasons why Bush is a terrible president beyond "Bush Sucks". You are full of "it".

It's not the only two answers most of us Liberals say. Maybe you should listen more carefully and keep an open mind. There's things at work in this country that no one knows about. I think it's a good thing that some people actually come out and say when something's wrong. This government was based on the people. One view from one man is not what we worked for. People should be able to have different views without an opposing side dogging on them. We should compromise and not insist that one side is right and the other wrong.

Why are conservatives only interested in furthering themselves at the expense of society and the world in general, and are for the most part hyper-religious backward idiots? - your answer, because uneducated people have come to represent the whole. Not all liberals are stupid and just blame bush and oil, without explaining why. But then again the definition of a liberal is someone who opposes bush, so they're bound to dislike him. Just not everyone says so in such ignorant terms.

Because most conservatives don't have a brain capable of grasping intricate nuances in a more involved explanation. Thus, despite there being volumes of information showing how Bush is actually hell bent to control oil markets (besides his rape of the environment, gutting of public health protection, and immoral lining of the pockets of his wealthy fellow kleptocratic buddies), those simple words “Bush” and “oil” are the only things that conservatives can remember.

I've never noticed that. It is interesting though that you mention that--given the environment that the current administration has set in place in making--everything into polar extremes. Perhaps people with liberal education (I mean liberal politics) are getting sucked into answering in a like manner. . .either oil or Bush. . .either you're with us or against us etc. We're becoming a sound-byte society, aren't we?

For exactly the same reason most conservative do:
They can't handle much more than the 10-second sound byte they get from .
Few people have the time or the inclination to actually think about issues, so they simply regurgitate what their favorite pundit said. There are a few on here, and you're one of them, who actually take the time to "think". Even though we seldom agree, you are, at least, well informed.

I don't necessarily agree with the "oil" comment. But I guess if your question involves any of the political decisions that have been made in the past 5+ years, then who else would you like to blame? It's not like Democrats have had much say in the steering of the nation lately...

well how about 'closed mindedness', and the way it combines toxically with conservative ideology, and has most certainly led the US directly and delibrately into the quagmire (or onto the iceberg) of the middle east (and iraqi) fiasco. 'oil' is easy because we're addicted to as is this president (in the form of campaign donations).
liberals have more answers than just those two and i suspect the problem lies with your hearing and not with their responses.

That is due to the fact that Republicans articulate their biased questions (mostly filled with lies) very well. Also, I don't see the point the questions that these Bush lovers ask because regardless of the facts, you are still going to think your opinion is correct.
