I'll work on an interdisciplinary project consisting in modeling the behavior of a microdrop on a given substrate. Since I have a Computer Science background, I need to acquire some background on the other side of the problem. Do you know some literature that I should read ? Or even better, have some hints about the way of modeling a microdrop's behavior ?

Interesting question.

Originally microdrop experiment is the famous experiment conducted by Robert Millikan in about 1910. It was to produce measurement of the ration of electric charge of a oil micro-droplet to its mass. Researchers continued to refine this experiment (see 1). An seemingly fro a good reason as it allows a unique experimental view in to the field of micro-fluids and moving towards nanotechnology (2)

The best way is to do the literature research in the field you are currently study.
