They have to leave their cars somewhere when they walk home from the bar. Sometimes if you see a car in the bar parking lot for several days, it indicates that the person was killed from walking while intoxicated.

That is so obvious , perfect point . Should be a law that each person leaving the bar would have to blow a breathalyzer. And if they are drunk or over the legal limit they can't drive away . There really needs to be a crackdown on the bars. It is a much bigger and long lasting problem then the drug problem .

Patrons need a place to park when they get to the bar.If you drink 1 beer or less per hour,or have 1 mixed drink in the same time frame; you won't be over the legal limit when you leave.The law concerns only those who are drunk or have open containers in the car when they leave.Read the law in your state and be wary!If the law reads "open container"and does not specify "alcoholic beverage",you can technicaly be busted for a Coke or a bottle of orange juice!
