As I did once, I got fed up with trying to keep in shape and keep up with the Joneses of the workout world and decided to just enjoy life... which happened to include eating more sugary fatty foods like... oh, yeah... Cinnabon! The spice must flow...
Conversely, why do people look unhappy when the work out? Maybe because they are wasting their lives away running like hamsters on those goofy treadmills getting nowhere fast. If I'm gonna go nowhere fast, I'd rather enjoy it!
Like the Clerks 2 motto goes, "With no power comes no responsibility."

When you were little, did you ever make fun of someone because they gained weight (or loked fat). The longer you've been used 2 seeing yourself in a bigger size, you may feel used 2 it. In a world where people are laughing dead at you, everylittle drop of goodness is like a lake of joy ot them.

Really ?
I think it is a facade. A "don't attack me" me thing. Lots of people with complexes adopt a very cheerful attitude to make other people think that they are OK and be accepted.
I'm sure plenty are genuine and don't bother......They are confident in themselves enough not to bother and not to be bothered by others' negative attitudes.
Just thinking about celebrities....none come to my mind right now..but I sure read plenty who said "I am totally comfortable with myself, I don't give a damn with what other people think..etc"
Only to get lipo, food camp or whatever later..........!
But most are unhappy and hide behind an image and would dearly wish to conform, or be more attractive.
Like the nerdy kids at school who have to crack jokes.......they are very well liked.......
I think it is a bit of a stereotype......
Now.......I'm waiting for someone to shoot me :-) !
