No. Iraq will break apart first. Kurds will form their own country, but will still be at odds with the Turks. The south will break off and ally with Iran. Some areas will become part of a Sunni Confederacy. Baghdad will be partitioned. there will continue to be sectarian strife, raids, etc.
We will maintain a presence in the North, mainly to help preserve the oil fields there. That will not be a bad thing under the circumstances.

If the world would get on the same page, maybe, but we cannot babysit everyone all the time and we certainly cannot live every ones lives..we as a human race need to realize we all gonna die someday and I would much rather leave in times of peace then war..I am so scared for my kids and the future they must endure and their kids too..it's sad but it seems we will kill each other off before God gets here..oh well, such is life..Iraq needs to fix themselves, we can lead a horse to water but cannot make him drink..Iraq is at the water line!!!

No, because it isn't really a true country. It is just several regions and groups that were pushed together and christened a country in a political move by the British after WW2. There will always be unrest because most of this groups have historically hated each other.
It would probably be best if the regions were allowed to separate under their own power and be independent of each other. They'd probably still fight though.

hell noooo.............how can a country ever have peace when it's people both children and adults are willing to do crazy **** like suicide bombings and etc. I mean it's like programmed in their DNA to do terrible things and I have a hard time believing that we're really even doing any good. I think that everyone including our ***** *** good for nothing high gas prices having president as well as other members of the government need to be asking themselves the very same question........and when they get the answer which should be quite obvious....bring our troops home......because we've lost way to many over a hopeless cause....

Since the region has been turbulent for the last several thousand years with only relatively very short intervals of peace my guess would be no. Their religious and social systems are fundamentally opposed to living at peace with anyone who is not a member of their specific sect for any long period of time. When people want to seek revenge, and believe that it is right for them to do so, for wrongs done to them hundreds and thousands of years ago violence will always continue to erupt. With that mind set I believe that a lasting peace is impossible.

No country even if it takes a hundred years would be peaceful as long as its occupied by a forgein country . History is witness to it . There was no reason to attack no reason to occupy . If America is such a proponent of Democracy and Liberty why didnt it take on China ,or North Korea ?? .
