OK so I took 3 pg tests and all 3 were neg and i made sure it wasn't too early and all... but i am now a month late and have all the nauseous, tired, sore breasts, hungry and whatnot ( i also get this with pms tho) and so i've been consulting with friends and one said she took 7 tests before going to the doctor and all were neg but the docs was positive. So that leads me to the question (more of a poll) and no it is not "am i pregnant?" it is.... How many false negs did YOU get?? (that were not taken too early of course-meaning before you missed your period)

2 false negatives. I took two tests, and both came up negative. Was still late on my period, took a test at the doctor's office 3 days later. Came up positive. Found out that I was pregnant with twins a week later.

Chances are you took your test a little too early. Even the most expensive tests may not show a positive until 4-6 weeks of pregnancy.

Take this pregnancy test. Then call your OB & schedule an appointment. A link of where to find it is on this webpage.

I got 3 negatives but they were before I missed my period. The day my period was due was when they started becoming positive. I took 5 more to be sure. A blood test at the Dr's office is most accurate.

I have never had to experience pregnancy yet. So my answer is 0. But an interesting note to point out on those pregnancy tests, is to remember that they are store bought. They may have something wrong with them. Or you just may not have the high enough levels in some chemicals to determine whether or not you are or are not pregnant. That is a common problem. Go to the doctor and see what he says. Only a doctor's test can be one hundred percent sure.

False negatives happen all the time...False positives almost never happen...

It's just possible that you're using a crappy test.
Or, you're testing too early.
Or the HCG levels are still too low to detect.

Go to the doctor...he can take a blood test that can tell you immediately..

I got 4. I knew I was pregnant though. I decided to read the instructions again, and realized I was holding it wrong. The little window should have been facing down when I was holding it up. The next test I took gave me a faint line. YAY! Good Luck
