I'm sorry to say...I kinda hope so. You see; I live in New Orleans, and anything which may de-intensify this storm is a good thing to me. Dominican Republic has some nice mountains. These mountains will cause the storm to loose intensity.

How on earth can anyone, especially anyone who has lived through a hurricane or tropical storm HOPE that it will hit somewhere where people live??
I admit DR is not my favorite place down island but I would never wish a hurricane or tropical storm to hit it. When it rains heavily there and in Haiti it tends to do extensive damage in flooding. Those people are poor enough and without much help. Do you people have no compassion at all?? It would be better if it would just head out to sea.

I heard it was headed for the Turks and Cacao's and then to the Bahama's. It should be a little north of the Dominican Republic. Good Luck....
