Think positive!

It's okay to feel down but you need to figure out why. Work on loving yourself and finding out what you want with your life.

It's gonna be hard but with positive reaffirment and people that love you, you'll get better.

You should look at the mirror and dont think of all the negatives you see about yourself, but instead all the positives. If someone makes a negative comment about you, don't dwell on it, there are plenty of jerks out there and they are the ones with the true problems, not you. Also, I reccommend writing a list of all your stregnths and all your positive characteristics. Think of all the good things you do for others and smile about being a good person.
Also most importantly, get close to nice, good friends that will be supportive, it will take your mind off the bad and let you soak in all the good in your life. Being around good people should put your mood very high, plus you can open up to them aout what you are feeling about your self esteem and they can help you. Just make sure you open up to the right person, and not some selfish person that really doesn't care about other peoples problems and also make sure they take things seriously. They might be a really nice person, just not serious and thats not good.
If your problem is you have no friends, try making some, go to social things, not parties, but maybe school gatherings, the park, or other such things.
If things are very serious you may want to try a hotline or maybe tell your family you need counseling.

Just remember that the things you feel so strongly about right now might not be the real important things in your life for the long run. Teenage angst is just that, particularly if your self esteem is being lowered by your peers- remember that they are JUST as insecure as you feel! If it won't be important to you in 2 years (IE a party, a date, or an argument) forget it. Good luck, and remember that as humans we are capable of change, and can remake ourselves as we wish! Good Luck!

Just say to yourself "To Hell with what people think" The only thing that should matter to you is that you live and do the things you want to do. Life is so much easier when you have no one to depend on you. ITS YOUR LIFE LIVE IT
