The best way to be absolutely respected by EVERYONE in high school is to be yourself -- be funny - be smart -- have fun - DON'T be a follower (as this gets you nowhere for real). People won't respect you if you feel the need to be in some sort of group (not saying a group of friends is bad - it's not). Walk with your head high - say hello to everyone you meet, don't judge anyone until you talk to them and then decide whether they are worth your time and effort. Respect all of your peers for whatever reason - even if it's something you're against. If you're against something they do, you can say "no" to it -- that's great but don't put anyone else down. Don't talk behind people's back. Earn trust. Think of who YOU respect right now as human beings. Are they the people who respect themselves? Bet they are!!!

Relax and don't stress. You don't need to impress anyone. Think before you speak. Dress nice and take care of yourself. Practice good personal hygiene. Be friendly but not overly friendly. Smile, people like to be around happy people. Focus on other people, when talking to them keep the conversation on them and off of yourself. Be more well rounded, find something positive in everything you can. If someone likes something that you don't that is OK, but don't insult it or them.

Remember, people want to be treated like they matter so when you talk to them, pay attention and remember things about them. Believe it or not, My Space is a great tool for you to use. If there are people you are wanting to get to know, you can check out their profiles and find things to talk about. Just make sure it's something that would make sense to talk them about.

Don't find something hurtful on there and bring it up, bad form.

I knows this sounds cliched, but be your self. You are a good person who is of value and make sure you always remind yourself of that. Work on your own self-image and realize that greatness that is within you and people will naturally be drawn to you.
