My favourite song people were the Elves of Lothlorien but they sailed from Middle Earth so now I`d have to say The Mediaeval Baebes.
However if as I suspect what you really are enquiring after is my favourite song then The Angel Band sung either by Johnny Cash & The Carter Family or Ralph Stanley from the O Brother Where Art Thou Soundtrack OR even Man Of Constant Sorrow by The Soggy Bottom Boys from the same film LOL.
