I wouldn't tease you because that's mean.
Yes, perhaps a little on the short side, but ya know, if the girl doesn't mind and neither do you, it's alllllllllll good.

I do think that 5'9 is a little too short but out of respect to someone I would never tease or pick on someone who can't help what was dished out to them at birth. My grandfather was only 5'7 and always said that good things come in small packages. Guys really cant wear high heels to give them a height advantage. Be happy with what you have, height is just a matter of opinion anyway as well as a fact of life. Good Luck!

The Mean Body Weight, Height and BMI for US males (2002) indicated that the average adult male height is 5'91/2. So, you're not "short" if you compare yourself to the average guy.
I wouldn't tease you, but you might be just on the cusp of being "short" for me. It's personal preference. I'm 5'6" , so when I meet a guy who is under 6 feet tall, he seems shorter than average to me. Note I said seems. Also, because many of the men in my family are tall, this makes my perspective. For example, between my father and brother, their lowest height is 5'11.

5'9" is maybe a little shorter than average, yes.But it's not short enough for someone to actually call you "short".
My best friend (a guy) is 5'8". My dad is barely 5'7" (if even that).
There's nothing to tease you about, you're not at all tall but I wouldn't say you're short.

I'm 5'7 1/2, my husband is only a little under 5' 10" - it sucks because I tower over him (it feels) when I dress up and wear heels. I don't tease him, it's not like he put in an order when he was made, he is what he is and I love him.

I'm 6 feet tall and have dated shorter guys. I didn't tease them, but I did feel very uncomfortable. I'm still friends with most of them. Good luck

Well, OK I'm not that tall without heels on, but I don't think that's overly short. Anyone you teases you about something so uncontrollable as your height has bigger problems than that to deal with.

I'm not 6'0, I'm 5'5 but I wouldn't want to date someone shorter than me.
However, I know of a girl that is 6'0 and is engaged to a guy that is 5'0!

I'm only 16 but still I think that that's pretty tall. but I wouldn't make fun of you.I can prove this cause my boyfriend is shorter than me...ALOT!!!! but we like eachother and that's why we're together.

im 5'11 and i wouldnt tease u i have been with a guy that was 5'9 i didnt have a prob with it but he did, i couldnt wear heels or anything that would make me taller
