Ok I am a Canadian , my family came here on a land grant from the UK where the British Crown gave us 100 acres in exchange for getting the hell out so they could have more sheep and on condition we defended the crown when called upon which we did my family was part of the army that pushed the Americans out of our land (Canada) etc etc.
All that said if you critized the government of Scotland or the UK as a whole or the Canadian governent I would not conclude you hated me or that you were anti anything. If you said that the governments(s) were acting horribly etc etc I wouldn't say oh you racist ........
Now for some reason if you are critical of Israel you are considered an anti semite and I do not understand the connection at all.
Israel is wrong wrong wrong in what they are doing and the government needs to stop they should be ashamed of themselves - how is that anti semite and why do people play that card so often and so heavily ? It seems weak

The US actually made it to "Fort York" now Toronto and burned it to the ground in exchange we burned the white house down - it was a war - armies showed up with uniforms etc etc. The goal of the US at the time was to take Canada as it was seen by the US as a waste of real estate to let us keep it. I believe the plan of the US was called "manifest destiny" .
We were at the time the superior force and the US was hoping with Britain fighting in Europe we'd be easier to defeat.
We are still able to repell any invader who shows up armed with muskets so watch out LOL
This is to Navymom. There have been many border disputes between the U.S. and Canada. The "land grabs" referred to here were probably during the French and Indian War or War of 1812 because the writer is talking about armed conflict. I'm not sure you can reallly call them land grabs, but both these conflicts established the borders.

I agree with you. But the flip side is if a government is elected democratically, then wouldn't the people be responsible for the actions of that democratically elected government. (I hope not... W.) But as an outsider looking in, how are you supposed to interpret something like the Palestinians overwhelmingly electing Hamaas. Hamaas has repeatedly stated Isreal and it's citizens don't have a right to exist. ALL PEOPLE HAVE A RIGHT TO LIVE! So, how can you discern those who voted one way from the others? Then only affect those that support views that oppose the correct ones, according to you ?
So, theoretically, if you speak out against a democratically elected government, and a country can only have one government at at a time; then you are speaking out against the citizens ruled by that government. All of them.
But, as life is... things are never that simple.

the purpose of installation a state with a Jewish majority is to furnish a shelter for Jews, this is through fact historic past has shown that Jews have been persecuted as a minority just about everywhere. To "stay among the individuals of all countries" is an mind-blowing concept, yet sorry, been there, accomplished that. the belief of a Jewish majority isn't a racist one, that's a reaction to anti-Jewish racism. Why do no longer YOU "stay among the individuals of all countries"? And why do no longer you opt to renowned that the Arabs began the violence against the Jews in 1920?

The US ambassadors called the Europeans Antisemites because then they can justify killing innocent people. Its the same thing with Iraq, if you criticize the Iraq war than you are against democracy. Although originally the first lie told to the world about Iraq was that they had weapons of mass destruction, but since they didn't find a single weapon it became a war for democracy. We the U.S. are liberating the world by killing innocent people and getting our own soldiers killed and Israel is only doing what is "right". "right" meaning it pleases the U.S. and in todays world if you dont agree with the U.S. then they will bring war and democracy to your country. If anyone speaks up against Israel's government than you are a Nazi and the U.S. and Israel will destroy you even if you are an innocent little child.

It is my understanding that people can often be brought back to Israel for trial for saying things anti-Semite. There is a case in Australia where a writer was sentenced to ten years in jail for questioning how the Holocaust occur ed. You can put down any country, question their politics and bad mouth'em 24/7, but doncha dare include Israel in that. Actually I do not think it has anything to 'do' with Jewish people whatsoever. We are always confusing peoples with the countries that they happen to live in. I certainly take no credit for Bush and yet people hate me in America, because of his politics. Start googling. Start with Rothschild and the creation of Zion. You will find out many things about people that make the rules. Many Jewish people are appalled, but then that doesn't make the press, either.

You're entitled to your opinion, your words do not become anti-semitic unless you personify what Israel is doing with the Jewish religion. The two sometimes are in concordance and sometimes are not. As long as you can make the distinction then you are not being anti-semitic.
