I miss the 80's for its political conservatism, fad fashions and fun music. The 80's brought us great groups like A Flock of Segulls, OMD, the Cure, The Fixx , Human League, Thompson Twins amd many others. I miss those years a lot. It was also an especially good time for me, being a good-looking guy in his 20's, and getting more dates with girls than I ever did in any other era.

Not really. Liked Pres. Reagan, but the music not so much.

"You glorify the past when the future dries up." God Part II

OK I like U2. I guess that is contradiction maybe, a conservative that likes U2. But I did like Joshua Tree era more than the 90's stuff. Still liked them in the 90's, but not as much as 80's. REM was good, too.

The 80's sucked. The music was awful. I was always scared Reagan would start a nuclear war. My dad's construction business struggled. I don't miss the 80's at all.

yeah the 80s music is so popular now, but the 80s were about the cheesiest decade ever... I remember them well, everything was neon and big, the cars sucked, reagan was in the white house (yikes) and everyone was trying to act like it was the 50s again

The music was way better. I wouldn't want the mortgage rates of the 80s back though!

I'm a liberal, but I love the 80's. I'm having a party this weekend actually, with an 80's theme.

I sometimes miss the 80's. Don't know about the conservative part, however.

The music was great - MTV's baby years...how funny, thinking back.

The 80's rocked! Shoulder pads, big hair, headbands, Ratt, tacky earrings that dangled all the way to your shoulders, Pink Floyd's "The Wall", painter pants, satin baseball jackets, clogs, gas at $0.99/gallon...

Man, I miss those days. :-)
