I enjoyed it immensely. If you enter the theater with an open mind AND keep in mind that it is sort of a fairy tale for adults and suspend your disbelief, you shouldn't hate it as much as others do.
I think a lot of people just aren't getting it. Sure, the story is a bit flawed but the characters in the movie were hilarious and endearing - especially Paul Giamatti. There are a lot of comical moments in it. It's not scary though, but why should all his movies have to be? Just think how happy you'll be when he does come out with some "old school Shamylan (sp?) stuff.
Like I said, keep an open mind or just wait 'til it is out on DVD.

I heard that the last moments were the most intersting out of the whole entire movie. That, for some reason, the twists and turns at the end is becoming redundant. That he should tell a simple, old fashion story. That is why The Six Sense was so good because it was about a boy who sees dead people and gets help from a psycologist-each one not knowing that the therapist is actually dead! Now, that was great! A great movie. Hell, even Monster house, that animated movie, is much scarier and better then this one. I really hope he makes a better movie next time.

I enjoyed the movie. It was not scary, which is fine with ME! I loved the Asian mother and daughter, and this movie is good for writers or aspiring writers to see how plots are worked out. Go and watch the movie. Pay no attention to movie critics. They don't like ANYthing!

Very colorful characters but a very weak story, in my opinion. Certainly the weakest of Shyamalan's movies to date.
I'd wait until it's available on DVD and rent it.

I agree with Minx--the theater was full, people applaude d @ the end. I liked it! (It's really not supossed to be scarey) Clever & imaginative.

my aunt said its wasn't scary and it was kinda like the village meaning boring well for us

umm i haven't seen it yet so...well i wanna see it no matter if it "sucked" or was great cuz i just wanna see for my self. i hope its good. cuz the director is awesome!
