Does anybody know the best vegetables and friuts for rabbits.

I asked this because some people told me lettuce is bad.

I whant to know what vegetables and fruits are the bets ones to feed. and if you could tell me a little about why the fruit or veggie is good. thanks.

Well, the reason lettuce isn't that great is that is has virtually no nutrition. Any kind of dark green leaves like spinach are good. Also carrots and apples are a favorite. Picking fresh dandelions and clover are appreciated, but make sure they don't have insecticide or herbicide on them, you may want to wash them if you're not sure. Also oats are good for their coats, people feed oats before showing them to make their fur shine. You can use uncooked plain oatmeal. Hope that helps!!

Well I won't get the 10 points for listing the most, but I will give you a good piece of advice. Be careful how much fruit and vegetables you give them. It can give them diahrrea. Timothy hay or orchard grass hay are both good to give them. Bread is also good to give them. Anything green or with a wide leave can give them diahrrea if given in excess.

Have been raising rabbits for 24 years, just because they like it doesn't mean it is good for them. Their body isn't really designed for digesting sugars, it's designed for digesting fiber and protein.
