How can the US economy be doing well ?

Fuel , insurances , Intrest rates , defacit , Property taxes , etc are all up . It makes me question how can this be . Unless you are a big business , bank , or oil company .

The Stock market is also down . Why do republicans feel the need to insult just for asking a real question .

It's not for 80% of America, I'm going to give the 20% to the Neocon stockholder that is making fortunes off of misery. Nobody I know is enjoying the inflation and the losses of their homes. Plus the losses and fear that a dead son will arrive home in a body bag.

Fuel is up because the worlds consumption is up. Insurance is up because of all the hurricanes and because those ba$tard can charge what they want (i really really hate insurance companies), the deficit is coming down now because of the revenue generated by the tax cuts. The property tax are up because the prices of homes have gone up. (My home is homesteaded so that doesn't affect me much) The Interest rates are actually slated to fall a little bit. Believe me, any adult on here who owned a home in the late70's and 80's are laughing their asses off at your complaint. We would have killed for 13% back then. You have been spoiled m'dear....spoiled royally.

or a contributor to the republican national campaign committee. then you get to write the bills that congress votes on. unless you were doing well before the republicans took over, you're not even trading water, inflation has taken care of the modest income gains you might have made since then. republicans are cutting us all loose from the social contract we've all be used to. and no matter which party is elected to control congress in 06, america will still reap the harvest of republican policies sewn for a few more years afterwards.

The United States has more money that it knows what to do with.
It is all scare tactics trying to manipulate thinking to gain political control.
Think about it. If we are so broke. How can we send billions to other countries? Do you know the government gives money away? Do you know about grant for jobs, arts, education?

I do not think that the economy is well. I know of a lot of business' that are closing & many people have these low paying part-time jobs because they can't find a good full time job. There are more homes for sale now & lots of people getting kicked out of rental homes. Where is the US economy doing well?

Huge transfer of wealth about to happen in the U.S. as all that equity the middle and lower middle class paid into their homes is all going to the banks when they foreclose on the mortgages they knew were not going to work when they wrote them. Kiss your house goodbye, mortgage payments climbing through the roof.
