Contact your local assessor's office. (The contact information for your town or township should be on the internet. Google to the rescue!)

Most cities and/or counties have an online search option for the Property Appraisers Office. You can get a tax history and an estimated tax for the upcoming year, and print it out.

Not all towns / counties offer this, but most do.

Call your local town's assessor's office and ask for a copy of your assessment (including annual taxes), and how much was paid - they will get it to you. You can get the number in the phone book, or call town hall and ask.

Do a web search including the dity and state you're in. You should receive a website like Maryland.gov, for example that will lead you to the correct answer.
