"Wild Thing" is a hit song from 1966 originally performed by the English band The Troggs, and written by New York-born songwriter Chip Taylor.
The song has remained extremely popular ever since its release, and has been covered many times— perhaps most notably by Jimi Hendrix, whose guitar-burning performance of the song was featured in the 1967 documentary Monterey Pop. However, Hendrix never recorded the song in the studio. Sam Kinison recorded a hit novelty version in 1988, and a cover by the Los Angeles-based punk band X was used in the 1989 film Major League. Even The Goodies recorded a version of the song.

Troggs sang the old song "Wild Thing". Tone Loc did a late 80s rap song called "Wild Thing", as well.

It seems like you are talking about the rap song, which was song by Tone Loc. If you are talking about the rock song, it was done in the 1960s by the Troggs and then remade by legendary guitar player, Jimi Hendrix.
