A zipper binder can be good if you're a bit messy. I always used side pocket folders that way you had to open them up for anything to fall out. They're by far superior to other folders, so I'd recommend them even if you do get a zipper binder.

your school should provide you with a list of all of the items you will need. my son had to have 3 1 1/2 inch 3 ring binders

i am going into the 6 th Grade too
I got a 2'' 3 ring binder,and your stuff
will not fall out as long as you keep it on the ring
and get some section dividers so
you know which subject is which in your binder.

I think a normal binder would be fine. They usually tell you what you will need to first week of school for each class. Good luck.

they are good for making a pile of papers and zippering shut to hide them. I personally like regular binders better you know the 99cent ones from staples or office max

personally, I do not recommend them. I am in HS now, but when I was in 7th grade, I figured that one out...along with folders. DEFINATELY stick with a non xipping binder and subject dividers...even though it does not look as cool, you'll be way more organised, and your s.hit wont get so crumpeled
