Not nesecarily, but it depends on who you talk to. There is no official "kurdish" state, so Kurds live in Arab states, notably Turkey, Syria, Iraq and Iran (towards the north side of the middle east).

I wouldn't be so quick to judge Muslims as "nuts". They're a fairly modern religion (as far as religions go), and they're trying to work on the whole unity aspect. Muslims in America are fine. They tend to be peaceful and wise, while the fanatics on the other side of the world are by-products of their own corrupt governments and fanatical warlords/gurilla leaders.
"Non-Denominational" Christians are just as nuts, for preaching peace on one day, yet hating Catholics, Protestants, and any other religion at a heartbeat. Protestants are also just as guilty.
Catholics and Protestants in Ireland are slaughtering each other daily for their own personal vendettas.
Asking the average American why Muslims hate Kurds, is like asking a KKK member how beer is made. Chances are, he doesn't know. He doesn't care to know. But he probably will BS his way into sounding smart. The Average American doesn't know much about Islam, doesn't care to know much about Islam, but will pretend to so they'll have a reason to go on hating.
