Can't tell yet.

In order for oil to have reached the peak of the bell curve of world oil production, the world would not be able to increase production and eventually world oil production would decrease.

Unfortunately, the public has only so much information to access. Oil reserves are state secrets and oil companies wont disclose where they believe the next big oil discovery will be made.

But your observations appear to be accurate. If anyone knows about the true status of the world's oil supply, you would hope the the U.S. government would know. And if the supply was running out, they would probably find some reason to invade the Middle East.

I agree forms of terrorism have been around since the dawn of time. I think that there are two things to address, the first is 9/11. After 9/11 it was very easy to use terrorism to start taking away or better to say bending the rules of what your rights are with out breaking the law. This also gave the government the right to head off to afganistan to get Bin Laden, but who really cares about that. Bush doesnt"I dont really care where he is and dont really give him much thought" Bush in a press conference when asked about Bin Laden. So instead let take care of Saddam and that way we can get our hand on the oil as you said.

Yes I agree that Terrorism is a scapegoat for oil, but I do not agree that it is funded by or setup by the government to result in this situation.

The US Government’s Secret Colorado Oil Discovery

Monday, May 1st, 2006

Hidden 1,000 feet beneath the surface of the Rocky Mountains lies the largest untapped oil reserve in the world - more than 2 TRILLION barrels. On August 8, 2005 President Bush mandated its extraction. Three companies have been chosen to lead the way. Test drilling has already begun

Dear Reader,

Five months ago, the U.S. Energy Department announced the results of a land survey

It was conducted to determine the official amount of oil a thousand feet deep in the Rocky Mountains

They reported this stunning news:

We have more oil inside our borders, than all the other proven reserves on earth.

Here are the official estimates:

* 8-times as much oil as Saudi Arabia
* 18-times as much oil as Iraq
* 21-times as much oil as Kuwait
* 22-times as much oil as Iran
* 500-times as much oil as Yemen

And it’s all right here in the Western United States.

James Bartis, lead researcher with the study says, “We’ve got more oil in this very compact area than the entire Middle East.”

More than 2 TRILLION barrels. Untapped. We have more oil then you know!!! On August 8, 2005, President Bush signed into law, a mandate lifting the protective legislation on the Green River Formation.

This mandate is called The Energy Policy Act of 2005. It calls for the opening phases of oil extraction in the Green River Formation the world’s most concentrated energy source.

We’re finally ready to tap the largest oil reserve on the planet

No. No such thing as 'peak oil'. If Americans would put pressure on the environmentalists' lobbying efforts in Washington and press for drilling on the slopes of Alaska and in ANWR (which is what it was set aside for!) there would be plenty for everyone in America. The rich fatcats are hiding that from the American people and the major news media are bought and paid for whores to keep it shushed up. They keep a lot of things under wraps. It's up to us to dig it out. Learn while you can. The information available on the internet will soon go away too.

There is plenty of oil. It's just a question of how much trouble you want to spend to get to it. Oil that was not worth drilling for at $20 a barrel, now is worth the effort at $77. Also we artificially have stopped drilling of the coasts and in ANWAR. That is politics, not a lack of oil. Russia has lost of oil. But for years had no means to get it out. With the fall of communism they are a major supply source. Even Texas is pumping again. Oil workers are making big dollars in West Texas and in the gulf.

No, we will see $4 a gallon gas. Don't forget that we were attacked on both our civilian fronts (twin towers) and our military front (pentagon) by factions from the middle east financed by oil. It does not serve the world to have one quarter of the world's oil supply dominated by terrorists.

Totally. Have you seen "End of Suburbia"? Its a documentary. It's really good. I think you can download it for free somewhere and it talks about all of this. According to that doc. the oil will never "run out" but statistics have shown that oil has peaked, and we will have to live on much, much less.

what are you basing that on?

we have worried about terrorism sporadically. like, we get attacked and then freak out for a year or so. this president was dumb enough to take the army over there, and it doesn't appear to have improved anything. and there are really real crazy mofos who are really terrorists, always have been... but it doesn't look like we're making any progress with this particular plan to reduce terrorism.

no, it is not obvious that we went to war because we're fighting over the leftovers. why do you think it?

No. It hasn't stopped the fear factory in Washington and big oil from creating the biggest deficits and profits all at the same time.

No doubt about it, and the government and big oil know it's here too... that's why they are being allowed to rape the consumer and have 26 straight quarters of record profits.
