Cloudy water can be caused by many things, but since you said you changed your water out a week or two ago most likely you over cleaned it. If you washed the gravel and especially if you rinsed and cleaned your filter media under neath the tap you most likely lost all your beneficial bacteria that was there to break away fish waste and uneaten foods.

Well that all depends on the kind of fish you have how much food you are feeding them and if you have a good filter . Also do you have an alge eater maybe some snails they help keep the tank clean. You must not feed your fish lote of food and feed them as you feed your self 3 times a day but only enough that they can eat in 3 minutes the rest net it out. Gldfish are kinda dirty fishes i tdont like or recomend those to anyone.and your fileer that is a big factor did you rinse it off when you clean the tank? did you need a filer change if you did did you rinse the filter cratrige first before putting it in? I'm not a fish expert but i ahve had lots of fish tanks and at time i dont even have to fully clean my tank for 3 moths i do it by sesone if you have to do it more than evry 3 months a full cleaning then something is wrong.

I have the same problem. I'm going to try changing the charcoal filter more often. I bought a large bulk batch of it to refill my filter bags. The cloudy water's kicking my butt too. And I'm extra careful with the food.
