Now, really! Look at this site for bigotry....every known race has been abused by someone. Every thought, sexual orientation, gender, age, politics and personality has been hammered. No matter what was said, the media has warped it into a polemic and Mel knows which side of his bread is buttered. Some of the biggest producers and directors are Jewish...he may have been drunk but he works in a powerful but rather small industry and I doubt that he would cut off his nose. I am sure that a few Jewish people may not but A DVD or go to his next movie but there is nothing like some fat sizzling in the fire to keep attention on someone. Roman Polanski survived after being accused of rape and has worked on many films....

See, as usual, people are not getting the entire story. The man made a movie about Christ and was withstood by the Jewish powers dominating Hollywood. The man lived under extreme stress because he made a movie about Christ. Why? Cause Jews hate Christianity. See, the bigotry started there, with Jewish hatred. Who are they to try and stop or pressure Mel for making a movie about Christ? They did just that. It was they who started the stress on his life. That stress was building up and hurting his career in a city dominated by Jews. When he got drunk, all of that stress just poured on out.
How does Hollywood become dominated by Jews? Who gets a movie? Who gets a promo? Who gets advanced? Why so many Jewish actors getting jobs? Are Jews promoting Jews, to the hurt of other non-Jews? Why am I anti-Semitic for pointing out bigotry?
Mel was not an anti-Semite. If he is now, surely, it's the Jews doing. How is a man supposed to respond to pressure like that? Except to hate them. (and still Mel doesn't hate them) And again, why do Jewish people have such a dominating stronghold over all the media and so many other areas of our lives?

I believe there is more going on than Mel Gibson getting drunk and saying rude things. That is normal behavior for hollywood.
I read that he made enough money to be independent from the major movie studios, that might be why he is being given so much trouble. Getting rid of the completion.

Mel Gibson is a wonderful actor and producer. People are very
quick to throw stones. He should not be drunk and driving , he
should have taken a limo or had someone else drive him.
I did not hear his remarks but he was drunk and probably not too
alert. People say alot of things they do not mean when they are
drunk. He has since apologized and probably feels like a a**, as
he should. But who are we to condem him? I would bet that he has alot of jewish friends and have helped out people of all
religions and nationalities. I do not see him as a bigot, just a
man that made a stupid mistake and said alot of stupid remarks.
I am not jewish but am reduced to tears when I see or hear of a
jewish persons tragedies especially during the terrible holocaust.
Everyone has and can make at least one stupid mistake and
should be given a chance to rectify it.

one of his programs in planning stages has already been cancelled... hollywood has a short memory regarding the sins of its' denizens... the question is.... will the paying public (aside from other antisemites) forgive and forget.... people only have two cheeks and after the passion of the christ, i think they've been turned already.... do we really need another hitler type running around spewing this vile poison???? free speech is one thing but racism and hatred and prejudice are an entirely different matter..... hopefully, for the sake of his five kids and his sainted wife of many years, he has a very large portfolio on which to draw while he rehabilitates, as it may take a while .... in the interim, he may have to cultivate foreign interests in the manner of michael jackson ... perhaps lebanon would welcome him...... maybe his punishment should be a stint guarding the UN safe houses there...

Yeah he has the right to say these things in the name of free speech but that doesn't mean the land of public opinion will accept it. Unless he donates a lot of money to Jewish charities and does a lot of charity work for the jews I don't think he will ever be forgiven.

Well I live in los angeles and from the stories I've read in the local papers I don't think producers in hollywood care about what he said. It's all about money in this town and his name is worth big bucks. Also he no longer needs holllywood anyway since he can afford to do what others have done and that's create his own production co. to make films.

Mel Gibson is a producer, which means that he puts up the money for the films himself. So he's fine. If they didn't like him, they would have pulled out support at "The Passion of the Christ".

I think our country has far more important things to worry about then whether or not Mel Gibson is anti-semetic. Don't you?

just answered this question elsewhere. but i hope he continues to make movies. people are so quick to condemn... people make mistakes..and only if you are perfect..can you slam him. yes, it is wrong... to make religious and racist slurs.. but he is not the first and wont be the last. i have heard worse on yahoo answers. i hope if he has an alcohol...problem..he will get help..and the rest is up to his wife and family to deal with. he is a human being...not a saint. we all make mistakes. as far as your hollywood question..well that is a hard call. stars and politicians have made hurtful remarks against other races..and religions and we have moved on... this is a tough call however..and what jesus taught may not apply here.
