Oh man, it sounds like kidney stones to me. I had kidney stones on June 21, and I thought I was going to die!! My side and both belly and back hurt like crazy and I even threw up. I would recommend to drink a lot of water, and take pain pills. Hopefully it will pass soon. I went to the ER because I didn't know what was going on. (I understand it's fairly close as to have a baby). I still have two in my kidneys, and if I get that pain again, I'm going to take pain pills and wait it out.

Also, you want to stay away from pop or at least cut it down and drink water. As I understand it can be caused because you are dehydrated. But yeah, it can REALLY hurt!!

If it doesn't go away in a day or two, I'd get it checked out. But they gave me pain medicine and had me pee in this fine strainer thing and I actually collected the stones. (By the time I went to the ER, the stone had passed to my bladder already, but it still hurt for a while, but it does not hurt coming out once it's in your bladder.

Also that morning, I had blood in my pee, and it felt like I couldn't hardly pee, and it felt like I still had to go more and couldn't. I had just gotten over my period, so I thought I was bleeding again from my period.

If you want to talk, my email is: dews_wife2004@yahoo.com and I'm also on the messanger.

My dad has had a kidney stone, by the way you're describing it,you definently DON'T have a kidney stone, a kidney stone is unbearable pain, like as much pain as having a baby. If I were you I'd ask the doctor ASAP, it might be a tumor. Good luck! Get well soon!

you are a money making machine for the doc. kidney stones usually start as a dull ache on either side of your lower back, not on your side but on your lower back , if it is a small stone it will drop into your ureter where it will pass to your bladder, once in your bladder it will feel like you gotta pee all the time until it passes out your peehole. when they say to drink liquids to make it pass quicker, they are saying water, not apple juice. you wanna let your bladder get really full before you pee, so it will be a big stream and pass easier. some say to drink a 6pack of beer, I never found that of much use, diet coke usually helps me. I have them pretty often , mostly in the summer months, from what they think is that people dehydrate in the warmer months and the uric acid crystalizes and everything sticks to it and it grows, there have ben some really big ones recorded, bigger than softballs. drink lots of water.

You don't necessarily need surgery for kidney stones. You should get checked by doctor with a urine test then an xray. Depending on the size of the stone, if it is one, you can drink drink drink drink and it'll pass. Or if it's too large they can do the other thing that crushes the stone then you pass it. No surgery. Please, the stone is very painful so take care

It does not have to be taken out by surgery there are lots of new medicine that will eat away at the stone. They also have laser now and can blast that thing. Only would require three little holes. It is better to ask your doctor what method he has and is comfortable with. Share your fear of surgery.

I couldn't just sit around and do nothing like my doctors suggested.

They didn't want me to do anything or to take herbs or herbal remedies, but I had to try something - they just wanted me to do dialysis!

This program allowed me to take control of my health. I went from Stage 4 to Stage 3 kidney disease.

It was easy to do and my BUN, creatinine and anemia are all in better ranges.
