Having an adult to mentor you is a good thing. It may not be "normal" just because a lot of girls aren't lucky enough to have someone like that. It's especially helpful to have an adult female that you feel comfortable talking to about things that might be embarrasing to bring up with your mom.

So what's the problem? You have a friend/older sister/mother/aunt figure who is there for you and who you have a good time with. I think this is a plus. You can go places and still be under supervision, without actually feeling like it. If she's cool with having a younger friend, as you are with having an older friend, then keep having fun!!

Its normal and acceptable to have an older friend, its only not when you're being taken advantage of or influenced negatively and you will know if that happening because your instinct will tell you so. I think its great that you have found a good friend you can rely on so many people dont I have four children, grown up and many of their friends come to me for guidance or just to have someone that will listen non judgmentally and its a nice feeling to know that these young people feel comfortable to do so...so enjoy your friendship.

Yes this is normal, I have one too! I always wondered the same thing but you know, as long as they are making a positive influence towards your life there is not a problem. Just be happy! You say you are, so don't think otherwise K?

Yes, Of Course!!! That's good to have someone to look up too!!!! I am friends with a girl who is 13 years older than me!!! She goes to church and is a great example for me to follow...I think it is great to have someone much older to look up 2! Like a Role Model.

Of course this is normal! It is great when young people find older friends whom have been through most of the stages in life that the younger person is experiencing. I think you should cherish your friendship with this individual as great friendships are real rare.

Is normal, same thing with me I'm having fun with my friend. We like to hangout and be there for each one and other. But we doesn't bond as in mother/father kinda way, more like in brother relationship.
